I love ken peplowskis jazz sound. Does anyone know what mouthpiece he plays on? I've used a Mitchell lurie for years, but I'm finding it's not flexible enough, and doesn't have a big sound.
thanks

According to the 2001 ClarinetFest program Ken Peplowski uses a Portnoy BP03 mouthpiece, Vandoren White Master #4 reeds and a Vandoren Optimum ligature.

Ken is also currently using Yamaha clarinets. I am not sure what model.

I have to sing the praises of the Portnoy. There are a lot of compromises necessary in mouthpiece design, and the Portnoy design seems to draw the line in a very good place.
