An everpresent mystery in our Marching Band the past few years has been the disapearance of all the first clarinet music for Louie, Louie, as arranged by Johnnie Vinson. So, for the past few years all clarinets have played second parts, some choosing to be adventurous and play everything the octave up, or others like me who have just gotten solo trumpet parts.
We have to do a few more parades this year, and we're using that song and that arrangement just for the reasoning that it's easy for all levels of the kids in the band, and because it's such a local crowd favorite. I'm really curious about the infamous first clarinet part, though.. so to get to my point.. does anyone know where I could obtain that particular part, even if just one copy to satisfy my own obsessive need? (I'm one of those people that if I get something in my head, I have to follow through.) I've asked a friend of mine that works in a music store, but he was no help, and I've even tried to get in touch with graduated clarinet players.. no luck yet, though.
Any more ideas?

I'd be trying the publisher, first and foremost - if the work is still in publication (sounds like it must be) then they will - most likely - be able to replace missing part(s) - for a fee.

Why don't you copy the clarinet part from the score, (unless its a condensed score)
