I was wondering what the best combination of reeds would be to go with my mouthpiece. I've generally sworn by VanDoren v12s, but I'm wondering if there's a better option. I play on a P facing Gigliotti (P34) mouthpiece. The body is a Buffet R-13, and the ligature is a BG Revelation.
Thanks.

Jake, as has been stated many, many times here, it's a personal choice, and a personal choice alone. If you go into a catalog & take a look at the selection, you'll find a large number of brands & models. Most, except the low end Ricos, are worth trying, at least for one box.

I have played on a P34 for 17 years. Tried alot of reeds.
I currently use either Vandorens or Zondas. I like the Zondas alot with the P34 and they tend to have a greater durability.

I think that the Gigliotti mps are designed for the selmer models. So I think maybe the best way to go is with the Vandoren 13 series which is designed for the R13s. But then everything is personal preference.
