 Grading
Author: jez

Sneezy's home page has a link to the main British grading system run by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. A system I am familiar with, having gone through it myself. I can't find any other syllabus to compare it with, apart from the other grade-system in the U.K. run by Trinity College London. Surely other countries have their own.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Yes - in Australia we use the "AMEB" - Australian Music Examinations Board system - most instruments are graded from preliminary through to 8th grade, then Associate, Licentiate and Fellowship. The last three gradings are diplomas and a concert stanard of performance is required.

Also, we use the Trinity College examinations for music, too.

Doesn't New York have a similar thing in the NYSSMA? Can someone from NY comment? I sure wiish that we would adopt some sort of system over here.
