Recently, i got a Charles Bay mouthpiece as a gift from a friend. He got it from London and it costs 120pounds (170 US Dollars). On its casing, it is written "Artist Quality" and on the mouthpiece itself, there are the following words"MO-M H1 101/148" in small gold prints. Does anyone have more information about it? Thanks

"MO-M" means, "medium open" (tip) and "medium" lay (length of curve to the tip) "H1" designates this mpc as his "Kaspar" model. Not sure shat the other numbers refer to--perhaps window or chamber measurements. Try a search for his website--I think all of the correct info is posted. Don't bother emailing Charlie, however, although he is one of the best mpc craftsmen in business and is a truely "good guy", his response time is best measured in eons. Good Clarineting!!!!

Vincent, I suggest calling 1-818-706-3309 and talk to Charles yourself. I've talked to him twice this past week and he seems very personable... just a nice guy to chat with. I bought an old Vito that had one of his mpcs on it and when he heard that the MO-M was too open for me (.048), he offered to take it down to 0.045 for free!!! Hope this helps.
