A few months ago I purchased an old Vito V40 and along with it was an obviously old mpc with Charles Bay in fancy lettering. There are no other markings on the mpc. After cleaning out a lot of gunk from the chamber, I sanatized it and gave it a try. To my surprise, it played quite well! (I have the original receipt for the V40 and it dates to 1983. Not sure if the mpc was bought at the same time or not.)
The material appears to be plastic and the sound is a little on the hard side.
I've noticed in all the catalogs that Charles Bay presently does not appear to be making any student mpcs. Does this mpc have any unique value? (Overall, the color has faded, but the rails, table, and cork are in excellent condition.)
Thank you in advance for your comments.

Since the first thing most advancing players purchase is a better mouthpiece, its possible that the mouthpiece was a later addition to that particular kit.
