I've come up with two fingerings for bass clarinet that work well on my Selmer Series 9. The fingerings are for Bb #4 and B #4. Bb #4 is played with the register key (not using the thumb hole), the left forefinger hole, the two bottom side keys, and the 3rd finger of the right hand is optional for flattening the pitch if necessary. B #4 is played with the register key and thumb hole, the Ab key with the left forefinger, 2nd and 3rd left hand holes, and the 3rd finger of the right hand sharpens the pitch. I expect someone can explain why the 3rd finger of the right hand sharpens the pitch on one note and flattens it on the other. I merely observe the phenomenon. The B note is particularly sweet and easy to play. I had a B fingering that worked well, and discovered this by accident while searching for a good Bb. I'll probably never use the other B again. I don't want this precious knowledge to die with me, so here it is, for all to use!

Why don't you put that on the Woodwind Fingering Guide? The link is www.wfg.sneezy.org <www.wfg.sneezy.org>.
