in measure 113 of the first movt (int'l ed/Drucker), how am i supposed to count that huge triplet? i can't feel the beat at all. i know it's his way of doing an accelerando but how am i supposed to get this accurately????
also, do you have any tips on the other aspects of this piece (1st and 2nd movts only)

The big triplet is what you have to think of. You are right in that it is an accel...
Think of beats one and three of m 112. This would be a triplet over that. Forget about the actual notes for a little bit. Emphasis the 1 + 3 as the two big beats in m 112 and then three beats (a triplet) in m113.
There is leeway in this because there is no accompaniment in this area. You are free and as soloist, you can say, "Just follow me!"
Seriously, if you are doing the Spohr second, your command of the notes will be good enough that the accompaniment will follow. You know what it sounds like, yes?

the Naxos recording of this work, with Ernst Otensamer (sorry if i spelt that incorrectly) is very good (and cheap) if you need to buy a recording. If you have trouble with the "big triplet", why not put down your clarinet for a few minutes and pretend you are the conductor- conduct the clarinet part, this way you can try out the music without having to worry about moving your fingers etc.... or even just sing the part through (if you as hopleless a singer as me you will have to tunelessly "da da da da" it, but this is ok, every little bit of familiarity helps)
