 Penzel Mueller Sax?
Author: Mark P.

I know there are some saxophonists lurking here.... I've seen PM clarinets, flutes, and I think oboes. I have and have seen on eBay PM sax mouthpieces. But I've never seen a sax marked Penzel Mueller. I'd be surprised if they never got into the sax market at least using stencil instruments but there's no trace. Has anyone seen or owned one?

I have never seen [nor heard of] PM insts other than cl's. Stencilling is of course a real possibility. PM used Long Island as their address for years, later using New York, and its my belief that in the declining days they "united" with The Woodwind Co. [I visited them on Broadway in the '50's]. Possibly some of the cl books will fill in the history, also Langwill, Mark. Don
