 classifieds question

I'm wondering how many of the 150 soprano clarinets are still for sale that are listed in the classifieds? If we would be diligent to take off the ones we've sold or decided not to sell, it would be a lot easier for shoppers to find what they're looking for. I'm certain Mark can't keep up with that kind of thing.

But, it's good to see the list and selection growing. I think the Sneezy classifieds is a great way to buy an instrument from someone who knows what they're selling.

The Classifieds will be undergoing a change in the near future to keep the "spammers" off of it (along with eBay ads - what a waste of reading since they're normally expired by the time you get to read them".

Perhaps ads can have something like a 30 day limit, after which period it is automatically deleted, then if the person submitting the ad needs more time in which to transact their business they can just re-submit the ad for another 30 days?

Mine are still available. But I would be willing to repost every now and again.

Mine are also still available, but then again I'm pretty religious about removing an ad as soon as the clarinet is sold. By the way, over the last couple of years I've had very poor results selling clarinets here on the Sneezy classifieds --- I don't know why, but well over 90% of my sales have resulted from ads posted elsewhere. Maybe the folks here know me too well????????

I've sold a couple of clarinets off the Sneezy classifieds. But, I also am diligent to remove the ad when the clarinet sells or when I decide not to sell it.

The 30 day idea is a good one. I wouldn't mind resubmitting my ad every 30 days.

Not to add insult to injury or presume to criticize Mark's organizational skills, I've made a handful of toll calls for used horns on the Sneezy classifieds; to my shigrin, some were already sold or pulled from sale as long as 3 months -- Morales' used Greenline set in Canada to name one.

My view is the classified section is provided as a courtesy, free of charge and it should be the advertisers' responsibility not the webmaster to moderate it, the individual should remove their ad after the horn is sold or when taking it off the market. Since this has become an issue, maybe a 30-day posting suspense with re-submittal, though not a new idea might prove a good solution.

I think most of the regular Sneezies try not to abuse the privilege of the free classifieds. But it seems the 30 day deal is a good solution to the problem. I mean, 30 days for free is a good deal in anyone's books.
