Hi all,
For those trying to find the score and lyrics of our national anthem, I have the website where it can be found and printed free.
http://www.treefort.org/~rgrogan/web/usa1.htm
I was thrilled to find it and wanted to share with all my buds here.

Jack Stamp has made a very hymn-like arrangement of the Star-Spangled Banner. In the current environment, he is, as I understand it, making it freely available. We're putting it (and Stars and Stripes) at the end of our concert this Sunday.

Our band uses the John Phillip Sousa arrangement. How about the rest of you?

Last nite we saw/heard one of the very best military bands, IMHO, in the world. The US Air Force Band of the Rockies [CO Springs] . An excellently balanced and playing stage-full [50-70?] with singers and highly specialized arrangements of many of our patriotics, and moving tributes by Wilford Brimley, narrator, to little-known heroes of the past. They recieved standing ovationS from our overflow house [1700 +] . Our Tulsa Community Band will be playing the "standard" arrangements tonite, and I'll ask our conductors if perhaps some of their's might be available, they sounded difficult!!! Of particular interest to me as an old oboe/eng horn player, was a Copland EH/ Tpt duet with band, Quiet City [NYC], wonderful, also difficult! If you can hear the Band +, DO SO!!! Don

We used the Sousa arrangement with the percussion section and a few others "minimally improvising", giving it a little fanfare.
