I would like to know something of Kroepsch...I have book 1 and book 2, and use them for practice on my bass clarinet, but have not yet been able to find out anything about the author of these great exercises..

The only things I know is that the books were originally written for the German key-system and that there are four books

Kroepsch I believe was a violinist from darmstadt who moved to boston and took up clarinet in the 1880s..
