I invite you to visit the referenced web page and read the correspondence that transpired as a result of a recent clarinet purchase.
The clarinet's condition was erroneously advertised by an Agent (a symphony clarinetist) of the Seller.
Hopefully, this will lend you an idea of the misrepresentations that can occur when dealing with unethical parties.

Dennis: I read the correspondence in the link and feel for you.
I have never bought anything sight unseen, whether through a "reputable" site or dealer, or any other way. I've heard way too many horror stories!
I know of people who have gotten good deals, but descriptions are too subject to an individual's biases to really be believed.
So I may lose some pretty good deals in the process, but if I don't see it, in my hands, I don't buy it!

The link above worked fine for me.
At some point in time, people have to be responsible for their actions. I saw the Sneezy Classified, too. I wondered. A Seller that has no responsibility to a Buyer ought to be sued.
I generally don't like dealing with 3rd parties for something that is to be sold sight unseen. Dennis got tatooed on this one, not even a kiss. Someone says something is lovely, than afterward tells you that your expectations should have been (automatically) lowered, therefore causing one to disregard whatever they were previously told. horse-hockey!
As an active Seller of musical instruments, I always worry about what happened between my last playtest which occurrs just before I hand a clarinet to the Fedex Courier & when the buyer opens the box & starts playing their just-purchased instrument. oh to see a smile, rather than a frown. an email with a is so nice. It's so much easier to strive to exceed expectations than to harm another ...
