Ebay sellers have jumped on the opportunity to donate auction proceeds to the relief effort for the 9/11/01 disaster. I don't know if I looked at it right, but at least 6,100 items are now listed in the Auction for America. As a seller, I just got my email about it yesterday. Ebay's idea is to raise $100 million in 100 days. The seller sells the item and pays the shipping and taxes, but the funds are kept for the relief fund. Ebay is waiving all their fees for those auctions. Their belief is, "We believe people are basically good. We believe that everyone has something to contribute." I think this shows it! If you are an ebay buyer, this is your chance to buy something you want and help the cause, too.
