I just found(finally...) myself a great horn , a
Leblanc Dynamic 2 .
Wow ! this is exactly what I've been searching for
in a Jazz instrument free-blowing with a clear top
end and rich, warm bottom .
I'd been learning for a few years on a 1968 R-13
because at _that_ time it was the most even in its
response .
I tried a Leblanc L7 a few weeks ago that was in
the ballpark , but not `quite` what I was after ,
sonically-speaking .
But this Dynamic really has the soul of a Jazz
Instrument ; I just love its personality . It is
(((( dynamic )))) .
I'm using a Ralph Morgan J-5 and Zonda or Superial
Classique # 3 reeds .

Dave:
Checking the Leblanc catalogue picked up at the ICA confab, I don't see a "Dynamic." Is it a variation of the Pete Fountain line or something really new (or old)? Congratulations and looking forward to more information. NH

It's an older model that is no longer produced but I can't tell what it would be equivalent to.
