If you have a Costco in your area check out the CD sets. I found "The Bandleaders" for 13.99. So you get a cd by Woody, Benny, Artie and one by harry James.
What a deal.
happy shopping

No Costco, but we have Sam's throughout the Southwest. FWIW, most of the stuff they sell is OK, but is not of the highest quality. If all you want is a TASTE, I think these mega-packs are OK; BUT, if you later decide you want REAL QUALITY, the mega-packs end up collecting dust. mw

Don't forget to look in some of those stores that sell off old stock from other stores. We have one down here called Big Lots that I've found some really good classical and jazz CDs for only 2.99 each.

Willie is right. For my money, I buy online from BERKSHIRE RECORD OUTLET. Don't let the name fool you, it's CD's & Tapes. They are wonderful. Not fast. But their prices will absolutely get you howling in delight. Mich clarinet music awaits one there. Lots of "punch outs", but it's first quality stuff & they just want to ,ake sure you don't try & return a closeout for the retail price. mw
