The Profile 88 has a longer beak, for some people they like it better. Tonally they are supposed to be the same. I kinda think of it almost like a cross between a short beaked clarinet mpc and a saxophone mpc (with a really long beak) http://www.vandoren.com//VANLOGOS/trad-88.gif that graphic is supposed to illustrate the difference between the beaks.

do you know if it'll be easiler to play than the B45?
And which is better? B45 or B40?

Try both and pick the one you prefer.
The B45 is a very popular mpce and in my opinion overrated.
The B40 is underestimated, it has a very sweet tone.

If you have a small mouth, the Profile 88 is easier on the chops muscles, IMHO.

I've played sax for so long the profile 88 kinda makes me feel more comfortable because of the long beak.

I've played both standard B45 and B45 with the profile 88 - and to this day - I still prefer the profile 88 over the standard. The angle allows me to have "less mouthpiece" in my mouth while having the correct embouchure, etc. Just try them out and see for yourself.
