 How is it possible?

I have been oiling the bore of a mopane Uebel for the past five days. I expected that after 3–4 days, the wood would stop absorbing the oil.

At the same time, I have been oiling a grenadilla Selmer. I oil both instruments once a day.

With the Selmer, I noticed that the bore remained slightly wet after the third oiling.

With the Mopane Uebel, however, the bore is completely dry the next morning, even after four days of oiling. So I oiled it again today for the fifth time.

For those who have experience with Mopane clarinets: how long should I continue oiling the bore before I start playing the Uebel?

Thanks
