 Das Blashaus bass clarinet neck

Hello everyone!
I have recently purchase a heavy heavy gold Blashaus neck for my Buffet Prestige bass. I have been always playing with the original neck, that sound´s great, but I wanted to try this type of necks.
I must say that´s a huge difference between them. We could say that the Blashaus has a rounder and fatter sound,it really sounds great, but the feeling is that you have to put more air in the instrument. The high register (C, C sharp, D, etc) its quiet higher in tune than the original, at least in my instrument.
Is there someone here that experiment one of this necks too? I´ll appreciate your experiences.
Thanks for reading,
Best wishes from Argentina

A couple questions.
Do you have an opinion on what accounts for the improvement (e.g. refined curvature, opening/inner diameter, mass)?
Can you tell if there is different amount of vibration felt at different places on the original neck to the same places on the Blashaus neck (at different notes)?

I'd be interested to know if there's any difference in position and/or size of the register vent hole.

I got a silver version of the neck from earspasm, they are importing them now making them a bit easier to get in the United States.

It was shocking what a big difference they make on the Buffet Prestige.

- Clearer higher throat Bb.
- More focus in throat F/E and low basset notes at all dynamics.
- Usually clarion E/Eb are pretty stuffy on the Buffet, for some reason with this neck they are much more open.
- Altissimo was significantly sharper, I've changed to some different fingerings.
- Overall improved evenness.

My tech had to spend some time working on the neck though. The pad needed to be replaced, as well as the tenon cork. The mechanism needed some finishing as the rod was bent and other issues. Either way, it is worth it for me to have.
