Scherzo mvt 3 third note of triplet in clarinet 1&2
poco sostenuto section I have a written B . There are several editions that have it also. But on New York Phil archive of part it is crossed out and it reads a written A . So is A correct ? Thanks. Many scores have it as a written B.

I performed it recently, and my part had "B" written. The "B" did not sound correct. I listened to a few you tube recordings of pro orchestras and I definitely heard an "A". That is what I played and that put it at the same pitch as both oboe and flute parts.

I was taught that the B is incorrect and should be A. I'm certainly not an authority on Dvorak errata, but I've always played that passage with an A and, like marcia, have heard A in the recordings and live performances I've listened to.

As evidence to strengthen the "I was taught" argument, the tune is first played by first flute and first oboe and later by the cellos, and it's F# (A for the A clarinet) in each case.

In all the previous iterations of that particular theme, the strings have an F# (A to us on A Clarinet), so the B must be a misprint. My ancient Bonade excerpt book also wrongly has a B.
