That actually looks legit, the logos on fake Buffet clarinets are surprisingly deep whereas the logos on genuine Buffet student clarinets are just printed on meaning they wear off quickly. The box also leads me to believe it is genuine.
Now if the instrument was advertised as being ready to play but is not playing well then that's another issue.

I found an expired $600 listing on reverb which looks the same except the logos are amazingly bold on that one. Same case, same white box even. (No white gloves, fortunately.) Apparently the B18 was sold in Europe; I had assumed it was sold in China. Surprised the lettering on the box is all in English.
So I am starting to get my hopes up here. Do the pads look like the kind Buffet would use? It was advertised as ready to play; the only thing I see is that the screw on the G# key needs to be tightened down.
