I’m looking for information on Dr. Hout Fischer, my teacher’s first teacher. Any information would be appreciated. I have, of course, done the customary searches online.

Dear Fred, I studied privately with Huot Fischer when I was a teenager and he was doing a doctorate at the University of Arizona. It is so nice to hear his name again! You have my email address. Don't hesitate to get in touch with me.

PS: I was his only private student at the time: a rare privilege. He had a few musician friends that went back to his days in Texas, Arizona and Oberlin: all gone, unfortunately. At one point, he was studying with Reginald Kell. -and George Wahl at Oberlin, Samuel Fain (Fane? -not sure of the spelling) in Arizona.
