I started playing the clarinet ~1 month ago and I can play open G pretty well. I can also play A, B, and (very!) occasionally C and D above open G. I can play F, E, and sometimes D below open G.
However, I'm having trouble playing a c and anything below that. I've heard that those are the easiest notes but I can't seem to make any sound. It's like something blocking the air and making it really squeaky - almost like the air is hitting a wall, if that makes sense. When I try to stop the squeaking, I have to reduce my air to the point where there's no sound coming out. how do i fix this? i brought my clarinet into a music shop but they said that there were no issues.

If your middle joint is not properly adjusted the pads attached to the ring keys will not close completely and perhaps that is contributing to the difficulty.
When you assemble your clarinet, hold down the ring keys for each section and test the pads connected to them to make sure that they are completely closed. If they don't close completely, the middle joint may need to be rotated slightly until the pads close when the ring keys are pressed. Be careful to avoid damaging the cork on the "bridge" (it connects the upper and lower joints) when you rotate the middle joint.
If you know an experienced player, you could ask them to test your clarinet to make sure that there are no other issues.

Could be an air leak in the instrument somewhere. The lower notes should be very easy to get out.
