Hi everyone,
I'm new to clarinets and new to the site.
I took a chance and and boughhis online and I think I discovered the mystery only after I got it home. I can trace it to a repair store in France and I've emailed them to ask about it. (Some of you have may have noticed it "out there")
The name on the clarinet is the owner of the store and I think it was founded in 1976 so I imagine that's as old as the clarinet is.
When I received it I realized it has more issues than the pictures could tell. (Several needle springs broken, a crack which may or may not have been repaired with an extra metal bushing, the ferrulles fell off because the wood has shrunk. Mechanisms are fairly sticky so it needs a full cleaning, recorking, etc., the usual I guess. But since it's of unknown manufacturer origin I don't know if it's worth putting any money into? the wood grain is really pretty, so it would make a nice lamp! (I didn't get it cheap but I didn't pay a ton for it either, and I can probably return it if I really want to the seller has been very nice.)
I will let the pictures speaking of themselves
