I found this in an old clarinet case and haven't a clue what it is! I know Meyer made mouthpieces. When you move it something inside moves up and down.

I think it is a screwdriver. The end with the keyring should unscrew or pop off and there will be bits inside that will fit the hexagon recess on the end

That “Meyer Sound” is Meyer Sound Laboratories, a US manufacturer of professional sound reinforcement and recording gear.

As for that tool, I have no idea what it was used for.

Hunter’s response, which posted while I was writing mine, sounds absolutely correct to me and would explain why it would be carried in a clarinet case.
