 summer festival help

I have some freshmen that I would like to get some summer performance experience in 2002, but I'm not ready to send them off to the major festivals. I'd like some recommendations (and caveats!) on smaller summer festivals and other performance opportunities for college musicians. Please supply me any contact information you may have.
