Happy New year to all!
I would like to read your opinion about this three models. I want to buy new intermediate clarinet and interested in these ones. Of course, if you know a better student clarinet example I will appreciate to read about it. Please, share your experience

For me, the Buffet E12f plays with more clarity, depth, and center to the sound than either the Selmer Prologue or the Uebel Classic. But for about $2600 (sometimes less if you shop around) you can get a Uebel Advantage model that plays in many respects (including sound quality, intonation and response in the altissimo register) better than any of these three. There have been reports that in some Buffet E12fs the tenon fit between the joints is poor and needs work from a good tech, but even with that problem (assuming you can have it fixed), I think the E12f can be more satisfying to play than a Selmer Prologue or a Uebel Classic. If I were in your situation I would try a Buffet E12f (with special attention to the fit between the joints) and compare it with the slightly more expensive Uebel Advantage. (By the way, the next step up in the Selmer line, the Presence model, can be quite good especially for the A clarinet, but it is typically much more expensive than the other models mentioned here).

I prefer Selmer in general but I was very pleased by the E12F. Easy, round sound, very "chamber music" to me. Not a great and rich sound but very good and elegant instrument for the price.
