I think it seems more to be a "clear throat B flat" mechanism, doesn't it ? I have the same mechanism on my Alto but reversed, the hole in the right. This Alto doesn't have a low E flat, could be ancient model from Selmer, they changed now for a low E flat model, and maybe the clear B flat mechanism was changed too ?

after looking at my selmer alto -its just like yours. i agree this is just an older desighn of same system. got an offer to sell to me for 1600$. think i will pass on this older version of my selmer . its got low eb
