Very interesting article in the current issue of Windplayer magazine (No.62) dealing with studio doublers in LA.
It deals with 10 of the top doublers in the movie and TV studios. One of the article's more quotable quotes is that the road to success in this field is "paved with clarinet reeds."

My daughter, Leslie, had an opportunity about 2 years ago to spend an entire day with Jim Kantor & his wife Debbie. Ay The Pacific Symphony, at home and at the Studios. She has never quite got over it. You can only guess what she want to do with her career. You can also guess who she would like to study with @ college.
Jim & Debbie made a big impression. [ Don't knock golf, either. Jim Kanter is my brother-in-law's sometime-partner in golf, who made the arrangements for Leslie's 13th birthday/bas mitzvah. AND, no he can't get anybody any mouthpieces! : ) ]
