This is a small company and I think they hand make each one. Located in Japan. I'm pretty sure they haven't branched out. Japan is kinda shut down, just like the USA. They may not respond right away. Japanese sales have halted for me. Went from selling about 40 to 60 mouthpieces a year to nothing! This is a good working email directed to the owner. You can write in English, it will be translated for them.

Paul, just don't buy the ligature with the actual diamond in it! No not the Momo, some other brand which I won't say. Sells for around $1000. Let us know how you like it! Take care Paul!

I'll explain a little bit.
I have used some of my corona time to evaluate ligatures with the Legere Eurpean Signature reeds. I have found that (for me), unlike with cane reeds that seem to prefer the vertical (Bonade style) contact, the European Signatures seem to behave the best with horizontal contact at the top and the bottom.
Before Legere I did have some good results on cane with the Vandoren M/O ligatures but they have a channel built into them that will not accommodate the wide dimension of the European Signatures. After a frantic search through my ligature draws (don't ask) I found the best results from the Rovner Light and a Scott brass ligature made specifically for the German clarinet sized mouthpieces.
The best looking architecture out there that I DON'T have is the horizontal, brass Momo Special:

I don't need the addition of a diamond. In fact, if there are any suggestions out there for ligatures of similar architecture that are under $400, I'd be eager to hear of them.

P.S. I did try the German Vandoren Optimum with the horizontal lined plate. Not nearly as effective as the above.

Looks a bit like the old Mitchell Lurie ligature to me. Maybe the Ted Johnson or Bay might be close?

Interesting point: vertical as opposed to horizontal contact. I'm working on a new ligature which will come out in about 6 months-if I survive-and I'll keep that factor in mind.

Dear Ruben,
If you're saying that you are going through being covid positive, I'm sure we ALL wish you well.
One other factor to keep in mind if you are looking toward "Legere friendly," is that ligatures that promote a great deal of vibrancy such as the Italian Zac Ligature pulls too much negative qualities out of the plastic reeds. That seems to be the unusual quality of the Scott brass ligature. It has just enough brilliance to render a solid sound without getting harsh (like the Zac with the wooden plate).
Just some thoughts ...........if helpful.

Dear Paul: I'm fine in terms of health, thank you. But the isolation in a small flat is hard. My new ligature is for cane, not for synthetic reeds. I don't know how it would work with Leger at all as I have little experience of the latter. If it does work well with Leger, it would be an accident.
