I absolutely love Drifters songs and I have looked and looked for versions for flute and clarinet or flute, clarinet, and bassoon, but haven't found anything. I especially like Save the Last Dance for Me and Under the Boardwalk, and it seems to me they would both work well with woodwind instrumentals. Anyone have any suggestions?
I have also thought it could be fun to do some rock or hard rock pieces with woodwinds, things like Stairway to Heaven, Smoke on the Water, Cocaine, etc. I'm only an intermediate player as an adult learner, but most of what I do find is entirely too simple or boring.
When I do find things, all too often the arrangements aren't very interesting--the flute gets the melody, and clarinet and bassoon just fill in. Or they are just "blocky" arrangements. For any woodwind music I prefer pieces which give all the instruments a turn with the moving parts. I have found some pieces that have a madrigal quality to them.
Anyway, I would welcome any suggestions or websites to check out.

JW Pepper Has a lot of music for sale, Three pages of various instrumentations of Stairway To Heaven as an example.
The free music site (8notes.com) has a lot of music for free download. Go to Clarinet and they have music for duets, trios, quartets etc. You can listen to midi versions of all the pieces (only three per day for free, but for an annual subscription fee of $10 you can have unlimited listening and access to other benefits) They will even transpose music for subscribers if they don't have one on file in the key you want. I just downloaded several Soprano Clarinet trio pieces to play in a Bass Clarinet trio for the New Horizons Band I play with.
