 YCL 450 on Ebay

I have been watching secondhand Clarinets as I would like to upgrade if I could afford to.

I have seen a Yamaha YCL 450 on ebay. It has a hole drilled into the upper joint under the thumb rest and the description says that it is for a Neck Support Strap hook if needed.

Surly a drilled hole will affect the playing of the Clarinet as it is through the wood body?

Only if it penetrates through to the bore. Even if it does it can easily be filled.
