What's worse than getting a new (very old) clarinet and getting only three BBoard hits about it?

Show of hands: how many *lucky* ones out there have an A Lecomte et Cie "Excelsior" clarinet made in Paris?! At $64 (plus shipping), it represents an investment for me, so I will take very good care of it.

(Actually, the wood grain is beautiful ... I wonder who really made it? Assuming it's a stencil.)
