Was just having an idle about it, was lead one of the metals used in making them?

Lead is far to soft to make an entire clarinet, the most commonly used metals were brass, nickel alloy and sometimes sterling silver.
Lead was used, however, for soldering posts and toneholes on many metal clarinets.

thank you that answers my thoughts, i was thinking posts and joins etc, i know its too soft for the whole thing so what is the usual base metals under the plating?
