I have an R13 Eb clarinet on trial and I’m trying to figure out how old it is. Serial number is 180XXX.
Anyone have any data points?
Thanks,
NB

I have the same question for my E10 serial number 612850.
Any idea of the age of it?
Also any way to find what materials it's made of, wood or resin plastic?

The E10 was made by Schreiber, so won't relate to Buffet's serial number lists. They have wooden body joints with an ABS resin barrel and bell - it's the model between the B12 and E11.

I got a magnifying glass to read the emblems, here is what they read
The main Emblems and on the horn:
Buffet
Crampon&Cie
A Paris
E10
Then near the thumb rest:
Made in Germany - (This is above the serial number on both pieces)
612850
Still don't know what year it was made.

There used to be a search engine where you could find such info on all the B&H group instruments (B&H, Besson, Buffet, Schreiber, Keilwerth, etc.), but that has since long gone.
