Hi all,
I have recently acquired a clarinet labeled “C.G.” or “G.C.” USA. It belonged to the late husband of a friend of mine. She was able to tell me that he had gotten it custom made (possibly in New York), but she didn’t know the details or where it came from. I have done some research and it’s led me to think it might be a Conn, but I have never seen Conn use that logo before. Has anyone ever seen this? Could you shed some light on to where this horn might have came from?
Thanks so much. Pictures are attached below.
Best,
Breanna

G. C. = Guy Chadash. He manufactures and repairs clarinets in New York City.

I agree, a Guy Chadash. His instruments are top-flight!

Yes, I’m excited to play it! It had cracked in two different places, but the repair work was very good in comparison to some I’ve seen. Thanks for helping me figure out where it came from!
