Hi everyone,
I'm looking for a clarinet teacher for regular lessons in Manhattan or Brooklyn. I played saxophone in high school and considered studying music in college, but ended up going the sports route and giving up music for about 10 years. I'm now getting back into the clarinet and feel I could use some guidance from a good teacher. Might anyone have any recommendations for a teacher in NYC?
Thanks a lot!

Probably the very best instructor is Larry Guy. He's also a wonderful man. Very patient, yet he somehow gets his students to play at their best. A lot of his students get placed in some of the finest music schools and then into major symphonies. He will surely get you playing well in a short time. One of the nicest men I've ever met. He has this special gift for getting newer players to play there best in a short amount of time. By far one of America's best teachers. Tell him I sent you. He will give you extra attention.
Google "Larry Guy Clarinetist" and see if you might be interested. There must be 5 pages of him listed. If you can't find his number hit me up with an email.
