It looks like a metal alto clarinet, than a saxophone. I don't blame him. Clarinets are supposed to be black and made out of wood or plastic, not metal. Looks like a deal!

Sorry, mostly second-hand info (and thus inadmissible in a court of clarinet), except for one Pedler bass clarinet (older wood Albert system) and a Boehm-system Bb clarinet I overhauled a few years ago, both played pretty lousy even after complete overhauls.

yeah, that definitely doesn't look like a sax to me. The keys are more like a clarinet than any sax I've seen
