Greetings all,
I'm in North Kingstown RI and today (unfortunately) I was robbed.
Along with my bassoon......they got a variety of clarinets.
If you see any of the following, please let me know....
Yamaha A clarinet
Patricola Bb CL2 (ser # 1805)
Selmer Series 9 Alto Clarinet
Orpheo Bass Clarinet (to Low C)
Selmer/Bundy Eb Contra Alto Clarinet

Will update with serial numbers if I can dig any more up...these were the "easily accessible" ones that I had...not much.

If you're in New England and see any suspicious woodwind movement, please let me know.

Thank you in advance!!!
Mark Thornton

My house was burglarized back in 2010. Thanks to the honesty of the local music store, my 2 clarinets were recovered, and the thief was convicted. My sterling silver Mensa tie tack was not recovered. The "gold for cash" merchants do not cooperate with law enforcement.

I wish you the best in this matter.

I want to add that while I did not ask for restitution for the damage caused to my house door, I did ask that the thief reimburse the local music store for the $200 they paid for my clarinets. When the thief later died suddenly at the age of 37, I looked up the court reports. The music store got its $200 back. Court costs were never paid by the thief.

Check Craigslist daily along with the Backpages. Sometimes are posted there along with other stolen property especially guns.

Craigslist and ebay have been checked daily. Word has spread quickly via Facebook and music stores in the area. Still have hope.....but have nothing back in my hands yet.

A friend in London had his horns stolen. They were returned 3 months later.

Not that I have the ability, but I wonder that there isn't a FB page for disseminating information and word of any returns?
