I sure hope so, since I'm going to put the time into rebuilding it. But with everything I've been reading, polycylindrical bore and undercutting is the way to build a good clarinet. Vintage 1950's or early 60's Malerne-made stencil, Pichard Artist Model, grenadilla wood. I thought it had a sweet tone, but it needs to be rebuilt (leaky pads). No opinion on intonation yet. Bore on upper joint is around 14.7mm, both ends. So not polycylindrical. Almost no undercutting. The only undercutting that is visible is on the lower joint ring key holes and that looks like they only did a small amount there. All of the other holes look like cylinders. Does that sound promising?
If I might wind up with a sweet sounding intermediate horn, for the price I paid, I guess that'll be good enough for who it's for (me).

Sounds promising, good luck and I hope it turns out well! Are you thinking cork pads or...?

I've been having good luck with cork upper and leather lower. Seems like a good combo to me.
