Hello,
I was wondering if anyone knew of any single cases designed for A clarinets that are currently available for someone to purchase?
I've got an old 20s/30s Selmer A clarinet I'm considering refurbishing, but the double case it came with is just horrible. This got me to thinking if there were any single cases available, even if just to store it in. This way I would not need to spend the cost for a second double case, or find the space to store it.
I was already thinking a Protec case could possibly be modified, but does anyone else have any ideas on this subject? I have attempted to research if this has been discussed previously anywhere, but I didn't find much of anything.
Thanks in advance!

Check out the thread above. An option for an inexpensive way to create a case.
Somewhere in the thread I finally got pics to download.

I would've said the Jakob Winter single A case which was the same price as the Buffet B12 case (or maybe a little more expensive by just £1), but I can't find them listed anywhere.

If you're looking for something compact that won't break the bank this is a good candidate. I find it a great option for a single clarinet (it'll take a Bb, A or Eb) when you want minimum bulk. Disadvantage would be that for an A clarinet you'd be storing it part-assembled.

I have a problem with finding a single case for my full Boehm A Clarinet. The one it came in is starting to fall apart. I doubt that I'm going to ever find one.

Thanks everyone! There's certainly some fresh ideas for me.
Also, as for the full Boehm A case, I know someone who has an FB Amati A and Bb. Each came with their own single case. He uses a modified Protec slimline double case for them when he needs both as far as I know.
Anyways, thanks!

From 1921, I have a full Boehm A Buffet clarinet with a one piece body, a fine instrument. Fortunately, the original case is in great condition as no maker would have a case for it.
