I am starting to fall in love with my vintage Evette. I have a newish B12 and a new Yamaha 250 but the Evette is stealing my heart.
i have been saving for a e11 from Buffet but now I am not sure if this will be any better than my Evette?
What does the general consensus think? Maybe hold on for an e13?

If you've got a wooden Evette, you don't really need an E11 as they're in essence the same instrument.
You could hold out for an E13, or maybe a used R13 or RC if you want to stick with Buffets.
Also if you want to be daring, consider Leblanc LL, L7, LX, L7 or similar, or older Selmers such as a Series 10S, Series 10, Series 10G, Series 9 or Centered Tone.

Hi Chris,
I have a b12, Yamaha 250, Evette, Corton Sapphire, Yamaha n23, Elkhart. so 6 x instrunemnts.
I would expect to get about £450 flor the lot on EBay. There are some used R13s for a bit more than that on e bay.
Would you sell all 6 and just have one used R13?
Thanks,
John

... Or an S1 or BC20 if you like Buffets.
Maybe keep your favourite plastic one as a back-up/outdoor clarinet and look for a used pro level clarinet.
I've just serviced a Buffet BC20 from the '70s and it's built much better than most newer Buffets.
