Hi all, I'm pretty new here but I've browsed around on this site a few times and found it to be very helpful. I'm currently finishing up my performance degree and was very interested in going outside of my comfort zone with a few of my colleagues and play the Concerto for 3 Clarinets by Theodor Von Schacht. The only problem is... I can't find it anywhere! I have only been able to find recordings and even that has been limited. If ANYONE has any idea where to find the music for this piece or if anyone has any idea where I could start my search, that would be amazing. Thanks so much!

The recordings out there are, to the best of my knowledge, Dieter Klocker. After a bit of reading it sounds like von Schacht wrote a lot of music for the court of Thurn und Taxis, a well known German noble court in central Germany. They were quite the purveyors of music in their time and Klocker often unearthed lost clarinet concertos from their library, which he recorded. My guess is that this is one of them.
You could contact the library at Thurn und Taxis, however past experience leads me to believe this would be a fruitless exercise. Another thing you might do is contact the main sheet music expert at Vandoren in Paris, Jean-Marie Paul. He's full of knowledge about clarinet music and has done an extensive amount of research on the aristocratically commissioned works for clarinet during the 18th and 19th centuries. He may know where the piece is located or if it is published.
