I just watched Inauguration.

I’d decided to work my way once more through the whole cycle of 7 seasons over the past few weeks, and completed the final episode a couple of hours ago.

Though it wasn’t the reason I wanted to watch it, obviously, it seemed to me that the excellent wind playing didn’t always feature the same players – did it?. The clarinet sound was to begin with certainly clear and beautiful, but later in the cycle seemed to take on a huskier, more plangent and arguably more personal quality.

Both sounds had their points.

I’ll pass on the broadcast of the real thing.
