Looking to purchase a single A clarinet case. I have only been able to find double cases for sale.

Winter used to make plastic single A cases like the Bb ones supplied with Buffet B12s (I seem to remember the Bb cases were around £35 and the A case was a pound more at £36!), but the clasps were notoriously bad on them.
I've just serviced a Peter Eaton clarinet that's been kept in an old B&H A case.
If in doubt and you have the parts to make one, then try that. See attachment which is a single A case I cobbled together from the shell of a plastic case and the insides were adapted from a cheap Chinese double case that had torn itself apart after around a couple of years of use (Allora type).

Find a Chinese A clarinet on eBay and ask the seller if they will sell just the case. I've gotten them for about $50-60 and they are fairly well made.

I was going to suggest buying a cheap Chinese A clarinet off eBay, then binning the clarinet (or turning it into a lamp) and keeping the most useful part which is the case.

When I bought a pair of clarinets from the Ridenours about 18 months ago they each arrived in their own single case because he was out of double cases at the time. He later sent me a double case. You might check with them to see if they have anymore single A clarinet cases. The one I got was solidly made. I might be willing to part with mine if you get stuck. It's in new condition.

Some possibilities. My A case (Buffet) had to be specially ordered, but that was before the online revolution.

The Allora case which came with the used Bb clarinet I bought 2 or so years ago fits my Buffet "A" clarinet. It's very inexpensive and lightweight.
