Does anyone know the fingering for double C# and D. I believe Benny Goodman ends his solo in Sing Sing Sing on the double high D. He plays B, D, F#, B and holds on to the B until he pops the high D at the very end. Need to know for a solo I am preparing for.
Thank You

Can you tell me what double high C# and D are with reference to the C4 shown on the top of the BBoard page (what's their number?) There's been different interpretations of what "double high" means.

I was reading some of the notes in regards to what or where middle C is.
(Wow) Based on the C4 at the top of the BBoard I am referring to C7 which I normally finger with the first finger of each hand plus the side G# key with the left hand and the Eb key with the right hand. I have a rare need to play C#7 and D7.

For the C#, what works for me is the standard fingering for C (T/R 1 - - 4 - - Eb) plus the throat Ab key and the bottom 3 trill keys, which you have to bend your wrist a little to press all at once, but which is possible.
Best regards.

I didn't know that the Clarinet could reach higher than the fute (actually I never thought about it and would have lost a bet) until I read David Pino's book. Then I paid more attention when I listened to E. Daniels play "Sing, Sing, Sing" -- I think he must get up there higher than Benny G. did -- awesome!
Hope everone gets a chance to here him play it at NO.
