Hello fellow clarinetists. I am looking to get a professional bass clarinet, but in the meantime, while I am saving, I was wondering if anybody knew of any after market products I could invest in to up my performance. This could include bells, necks, even mouthpieces and ligatures, etc.

Look up earspasm music on YouTube. You will find videos on all of the products you mentioned. Good luck.

Ok. Thanks once again. Have you ever tried any of these products? I am just sort of looking for a second opinion for the backun bell and the blaushaus besides mikes videos. Although I trust him a lot, considering he is a professional, I would like a couple of opinions on it.

Hi Cole,
The absolutely best things you should invest in are (in order):
1) A great mouthpiece (I really like Roger Garrett's MO facing - $120 and a TRULY superb mouthpiece, but you should try as many different mouthpieces as you can and find the one YOU like best - trust yourself!!!).
2) A great horn (the best value for the money, in my opinion, is the Selmer Model 37 - but the Buffet Prestige is also fantastic!).
3) A great overhaul for whatever instrument you choose.
Aftermarket necks and bells are awesome, but are best left 'til later (after 1, 2 and 3 ).
