Does anyone have any information on a 1959 R XXXX Selmer Centered Tone Eb soprano clarinet.

I've got a Series 9 Eb and suspect there's not much difference between them, although mine's a full Boehm Eb.
And if it's anything to go by, I reckon the Centered Tone is also a great player too - I've never been disappointed with any CTs I've owned of any age.

Chris P- I was wondering how much difference there might be. I also have a Series 9 Eb. It was made in the early 60's (probably about 2 years later than the CT). It is a really great instrument that is very comfortable to play. The keywork feels good and does not feel cramped. It has a really nice full sound with good intonation. It is, dare I say, a pleasure to play.

CT Ebs are very desirable and in great demand. If you find one, grab it.
