Wow, you can really hear what an amazing clarinetist he was despite the old recording sound. He must have been incredible to hear in his day.

Russell Harlow has done an amazing job with that site (Clarinet Central). There are so many great recordings there of legendary great players.

Just a quick aside -
I contributed some info which helped Russell reissue the long lost Louis DeSantis book "New Studies for Clarinet" which is now for sale on his site. I had a rare original copy of the book which Russell was delighted to receive a copy of.

It's an important clarinet text which should be in every orchestral player's library.
