I stripped a screw because I was impatient and was using the wrong screwdriver. Any tips?

There is a chance that the pivot (or axle) was frozen in place beyond normal means anyway. Rest assured that most techs have the resources to get it out. You may want to have whoever works on the horn check all the posts to ensure the rest are workable.

Do you mean the threads or the slot? Stripping generally refers to the threads, but it sounds like you mean the slot...?

Either way it's possible to repair but both could be a bit tricky (if not impossible) without specific tools.

Assuming it's the slot and that it's inside the post, what I usually do is re-slot it using a dental micromotor (without damage to the post).
